Bad Weather Peonies
Rain Resistant
Some peonies don't stand up well to rain and wind the petals come off, and the blossom looks very ragged. Here are some varieties that are very rain and wind resistant:
First Arrival, Krinkled White, Krinkled White, Sword Dance.
Heat resistant
Peonies prefer cold winters; they generally do best in Hardiness zones 3 - 8. However, there are some peonies which are particularly good at standing up to hot climates. Here are some examples:
Buckeye Belle, Early Scout, and Miss America.
